Bunmi is the pioneer Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of EDFIN Microfinance Bank Limited. She holds a Masters’ degree in Business Administration from the IESE Business School, University of Navarra and is an alumnus of the Lagos Business School. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration of Nigeria, Institute of Credit & Collections Management of Nigeria and Association of Investment Advisers & Portfolio Managers of Nigeria. She is also a Committee member of the following; Technical Research and Public Policy Committee of ICAN, Working Group of the MITC Committee of the Microfinance Platform and Strategic Review Committee of Developing Effective Private Education, Nigeria (DEEPEN). Enterprise Development Centre (EDC), Pan-Atlantic University, Steering Committee on the Cherie Blair Foundation for Women (CBFW) ‘Technology for Change’ (T4C) project and member SME, Finance & Financial Markets Policy Commission (SFFPC) of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group. She is also on the Board of CIBN Press Ltd. She is an Advisory Board Member of Bridge International Academies, Nigeria, Co-Creation Hub (CcHub), Nigeria, MaTontine Inc. New York, USA; and Simply Exponential Consult Limited as an independent director. Bunmi Lawson has attended several courses both locally and internationally at renowned institutions including Harvard Business School, INSEAD and the Boulder Institute for Microfinance and has successfully completed the CBN/CIBN Microfinance Certification Programme. She has presented several lectures/speeches both locally and internationally in Microfinance and other areas of capacity building for small scale industries and young entrepreneurs, SME Financing as well as being part of special workgroups on various topics bothering on several aspects of the Nigerian economy. Prior to joining EDFIN, Bunmi was the Executive Director of ACCION Microfinance Bank, an Internationally recognized National licensed Microfinance Bank, FATE Foundation Ltd/Gte, a leading business development service provider, a co-owner and Executive Director of VLA Lawrence & Associates, a leading Human Resources services organization and has over 27 years post graduate work experience.
Babatunde is an alumnus of Enugu State University of Technology Business School with a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration (MBA). A Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and Microfinance Certified Banker of Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN), he has attended several local and international courses in general banking, Internal Control and Risk Management, which include Boulder Institute of Microfinance Bank, Italy and the prestigious Harvard Business School, USA. He has contributed his quota to the development of microfinance industry in Nigeria in collaboration with Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and National Association of Microfinance Bank (NAMB). Babatunde is a seasoned banker with over 18 years’ experience in commercial, retail, mortgage and microfinance banking having served in almost all the departments in the banks both at junior and senior levels. Very dogged and ready to reach for the stars in his endeavour to achieve personal and corporate goals. A risk professional to the core but with general banking knowledge and distinctive performances. Prior to joining Edfin Microfinance, he was the Chief Operations Officer of Accion Microfinance Bank and Pioneer Head of Internal Control which later became Risk, Control and Compliance. Babatunde worked with Wema Bank Plc, Global Trust Savings & Loans Ltd and Intercontinental Bank Plc. He also served as Managing Director of Crowned Eagle Microfinance Bank.
Having been thoroughly furnished with full understanding of banking and a very deep knowledge of microfinancing business, he has become a force to reckon with in the industry with constant partnership with regulators, consultants and NAMB to proffer solutions to the growth and development of the industry.
Tolulope is a graduate of Accountancy from The Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti. She also holds a Masters’ Degree in Marketing from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso. She is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA) and an Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (AMNIM).
With experience spanning over 17 years in the Banking Industry, Tolulope is a commercially minded individual with extensive experience and a successful record in operations and administration management. She provides strategic direction, information and support in relation to the company’s operational and administrative management, ensures that the organization performs at optimal level in order to achieve company-wide goals.
Tolulope also has experience as an Internal Auditor with core competence in Investigations, External Relations and Field Audits.
Abiodun holds an MBA with a major in IT management from the University of Leicester, UK; a Bachelors’ Degree in Electronics & Computer Engineering; a certified IT Auditor (CISA) and Cisco Network Associate. He is also IT infrastructure library certified (ITIL V3), certified practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (CIBN) and certified project manager from the Haensh Business School Germany.
Abiodun has over 13years working experience in the financial services industry and Telecommunications with an IT all-round expertise. His competencies cut across enterprise infrastructure and innovative digital solutions deployment, cloud technology and cybersecurity, project management, IT strategy and IT Audit.
Prior to now, Abiodun led the IT team in AB microfinance Bank from startup till it became national; worked in Hyperia Internet backbone as a senior telecom engineer, later moved to Ubametropolitan Life Insurance and Credit Afrique as IT manager. Over the years, he has successfully managed the rollout of Core banking and E-banking platforms that brought about financial inclusion through USSD, Mobile Banking, Web, mobile money and card services.
Oluchi is an experienced banker in the microfinance sector with well over 15 years Banking experience in addition to over 10 years multi sectorial experience in the hospitality industry, investment and Audit firms. She is the immediate past Head, Internal Audit of the Bank and was the chief Operating Officer of Legacy Vineland Microfinance Bank.
Prior to joining EdFin, Oluchi worked and rose to the position of Acting Managing Director at Meridian Microfinance Bank having worked in various capacities as Head of Finance & Administration and Head of Internal Control with wealth of experience in Banking Operations, Relationship Management, Financial Management and Internal Control functions.
Oluchi is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), a Microfinance Certified Professional of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and a Certified Risk Manager.
Adedayo holds a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting from Benson Idahosa University, as well as an MBA in Finance from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Nigeria. She began her career in AB Microfinance Bank (a multinational bank with head office in Berlin Germany) in 2009. Her experience in AB Microfinance Bank equipped her with dealing with Micro, Small and Medium Sized businesses and their credit, finance and risk needs. She then proceeded to Letshego Microfinance Bank where she held various Managerial Positions. She is Microfinance Certified Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria.
Adedayo is a proactive professional with about ten (10) years’ experience in credit risk management, business development, sales and marketing, product management, prolific in identifying customer needs and presenting appropriate company product and service offerings. She can gain customer trust and provides exceptional follow-up, leading to increased repeat and referral business.
Stephen has a Bachelors’ degree in Fisheries & Aquatic Biology from the Lagos State University (LASU) in Ojo, Lagos state. He also has a Masters’ degree in Environmental Management from the same institution. Stephen has over 10 years’ experience in credit lending and is a senior member of the Chartered Institute of Loan and Risk Management of Nigeria as well a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He has also completed series of certificate training programmes.
Stephen started his banking career with Accion microfinance bank in 2009 as an account officer where he rose through the ranks to become an Area Manager of South-South and South-East Areas (comprising six states in Nigeria) in Accion microfinance bank – a multinational bank with presence in over 30 countries of the world. Due to his exceptional performance and leadership qualities, he won the award as the best Branch Manager in 2015 and his branch, which he pioneered in 2012, won the award as the best branch that same year. He was transferred to the South – South and South – East as Area manager in 2017. Due to the exponential growth in portfolio quality and quantity, a new Area was carved out of the old Area within a space of two (2) years under his leadership.
Chika has a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science from Rivers State University, an MBA from Lagos Business School and is a Certified Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Professional.
She is an adept Management Consultant, Certified Strategy Execution Professional and Business Writer with a strong bias for performance improvement, business design and planning, service design, research and analysis. She enjoys helping people and organisations be the best they can be; by meticulously understanding their mission and goals and helping them craft a realistic implementation plan.
Chika’s experience spans research, analysis, process re-engineering, organisation design, performance management, business writing and strategy execution. With over 10 years cumulative experience working on research, projects, process and performance management, as well as a well-rounded experience and understanding in corporate venture and management.
Chika has worked across a variety of industries and sectors including Mobile Money, Chemicals, Health, Technology, Education and Development. She cares about national development and livelihood, and her goal is to help build sustainable businesses in Nigeria using skills and experience.
Ayomide holds a Bachelors’ Degree and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute Personnel Management.
She is an experienced HR professional with specialist skills in planning and directing all areas of Human Resources that includes but is not limited to: benefits, compensation, employment law, employee relations, on-boarding, payroll, performance management, policy & procedures, recruitment, safety, supervision & training.
