Waheed Fagbenro ( MD/CEO)

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and Certified Microfinance Professional (MCP). Waheed has M.Sc Finance (Unilag) and B.Sc Banking and Finance (OSU).

Waheed has over 20 years' work experience that cut across various institutions and sectors. He started his career in Dipo Dina & Co (Chartered Accountants) as a member of Audit team in year 2001. He later joined Akintola William Deloitte in 2002 where he specialized in Enterprise Risk Services and rose to the level of Audit Senior in 2008 as a Chartered Accountant. In 2008, Waheed joined the specialized Audit team of UBA plc that covered Head office departments and West African region. In December 2011, Waheed moved to Lekki Concession Company Limited (LCC) as the pioneer Head of Internal Audit Department where he set up the department from scratch and managed it to a functional department. In January 2015, Waheed joined Accion Microfinance Bank Limited as the Head, Internal Audit department. In January 2018, he resumed new role as the Head, Risk and Control department and in July 2019, Waheed resumed as the Group Head, Operations in the same institution.

Waheed has been exposed to various trainings both within and outside Nigeria.

Oluchi Blossom Iheanacho (Chief Finance Officer)

Oluchi is an experienced banker in the microfinance sector with well over 15 years Banking experience in addition to over 10 years multi sectorial experience in the hospitality industry, investment and Audit firms. She is the immediate past Head, Internal Audit of the Bank and was the chief Operating Officer of Legacy Vineland Microfinance Bank.

Prior to joining EdFin, Oluchi worked and rose to the position of Acting Managing Director at Meridian Microfinance Bank having worked in various capacities as Head of Finance & Administration and Head of Internal Control with wealth of experience in Banking Operations, Relationship Management, Financial Management and Internal Control functions.

Oluchi is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ACA), a Microfinance Certified Professional of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and a Certified Risk Manager.

Oluwatoyin Mafe (Head, Operations & Administration)

Oluwatoyin Mafe is the Head, Operation of Edfin Microfinance Bank. A chartered Accountant with over 10 years working experience as a Financial Accountant, Internal Control/Audit and Operation. Oluwatoyin is a graduate of Accounting from Lagos State Polytechnic and an associate of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) with certification in Microfinance Bank (MCIB).

She is a passionate Accountant who loves dealing with figures and loves to work in an environment that is involved in the sales and distribution of goods and services. She employs the power of team work to achieve organizational goal. She is a person of integrity, hardworking, ownership Spirit, loyal, dependable and happily married with lovely children.

Monde-Umo Aniekan (Head of Commercial)

Aniekan started his microfinance career with the then First Bank of Nigeria MFB now called Letshego MFB in 2010. He joined as a Branch Administrator in the operations department and served in this role for two years before being promoted to the Head of Branch Operations within the same department. He later worked as the Assistant to the Group head of Operations & Finance for 3 years. His high work ethics and excellent customer-centric qualities earned him a management award from then managing Director of the bank.

In 2017 he briefly joined Moneytrust MFB Limited as a Management staff supervising the Operations and IT departments. In February 2018 he became the Head of Operations and Customer Service at Infinity MFB Limited and was responsible for the revamping and improved process efficiency of the operations functions across the 21 branch locations of Infinity MFB as well as improving staff morale with specialized operations trainings and staff engagement programs. In 2024, Aniekan joined Edfin MFB originally as the Chief Operations Officer and within a short period, he has been appointed as the Head of Commercial to help drive sales and profitability of the organisation, a task he has taken head-on and has been recording modest achievements in areas of portfolio growth, quality portfolio, cost savings and high customer retention and satisfaction.

Aniekan Monde-Umo graduated from the University of Lagos for his first and second degrees in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering BSc and an MBA- master’s in business administration respectively. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria as a certified microfinance professional, and he has a track record of quality work experience with over fourteen years in the industry. He is happily married with children.

Adeyinka Grace Jones (Head Risk and Compliance)

Adeyinka Jones is a seasoned microfinance professional with over 15 years of cognate experience spanning Marketing, Credit Administration, Credit Risk, Operations, Loan Monitoring, Collections, Branch Management, Compliance, Internal Control, and Risk Management.

She began her microfinance career in 2007 when community banks were transformed into Microfinance Banks, serving as a Marketing Officer. In 2011, she joined SUSU MFB as a Market Intermediary and rose to the role of Credit Coordinator and Branch Manager. She later served as Head of Credit and Marketing at County Finance Ltd from 2019.

In December 2023, she joined Liftgate Microfinance Bank as Credit Risk Manager and Compliance Officer. She joined Edfin Microfinance Bank Ltd in 2025 as Head, Risk and Compliance.

Adeyinka is known for her diligence, organization, integrity, and loyalty. She is a collaborative team player who makes sound decisions quickly while maintaining a strong focus on sales growth and profitability.
